DESCRIPTION:
Aesthetics and Dress ~
At 5'9" in height and weighing little more than 110lbs, Erin's slender and graceful build gives her a sylph-like almost ethereal air. In fact, her Sidhe blood is more than evident in her appearance. Her eyes glow a dark sapphire blue with flashes of purple like molten jewels and her pale skin gleams with an inner radiance like polished pearls in candle-light. Silken chestnut waves cascade over her shoulders, broken intermittently by the occasional flash of golden highlights.

As a medical intern, Erin usually wears hospital issue scrubs and rubber soled pumps. Outside of work she loves to get dressed up, preferring clothes that flatter her figure.

Attitude ~
Erin is an assertive and confident young woman – traits that have held her in good stead through her training to become a surgeon. Her single-minded nature can often be mistaken for arrogance, but for Erin there is no other way to live her life. Her ability to fight for what she wants and to never loose sight of her goals has shaped her into an exceptional doctor – and given her the purpose in life and a sense of belonging that she always craved.

Lifestyle ~
Erin lives the typical life of a medical intern; she lives in a small, messy apartment in a nice part of the city. She doesn’t drive but instead uses public transport to get about the city. She has a cat called Mitzy and a fondness for beer and pizza.

rightBACKGROUND:
The illicit love child of a Sidhe Queen and a mortal man, Erin was abandoned at birth - left to die on the banks of the Hudson River. It was nothing short of a miracle that Park Ranger Morty Kefflin had decided to start his patrols early that cold winter morning in February, and even more fortuitous that his route took him less than three feet away from where the child had been hidden amongst the rushes.

After several days in intensive care, Erin, who had proved to be a sweet-tempered and agreeable little child, was eventually adopted by a wealthy yet infertile Manhattan couple - Alexander and Kathryn (Kitty) Lloyd. While her new parents afforded her every luxury and privilege that their money could buy, they were never what you would call a 'close-knit' family. Erin spent most of her childhood being looked after by a string of nannies and attending various private schools while her parents attended to the demands of their businesses.

Like any neglected teen, Erin acted out in an effort to gain the attention of her parents; she was often in trouble with the police for petty misdemeanours such as vandalism and theft. But far from showing their daughter the love she craved, Alexander and Kathryn were deeply ashamed and sought only to further distance themselves from their wayward progeny.

It was on the eve of Erin’s sixteenth birthday, after bailing her out from jail after she stole a car, that Alexander and Kathryn revealed the truth about Erin’s parentage and washed their hands of her once and for all.

For the first time in her life, Erin felt as though a huge burden had been lifted. From that day onward, she stopped trying to gain the attention of her parents and began to live her life for herself. She began to work hard at school and, although not a gifted student, she was so determined to succeed that she worked twice as hard as anyone else in her class, so much so that after two long years, won herself a partial scholarship to study general medicine at SUNY Upstate.

leftIt wasn’t until Erin assisted on her first real surgical procedure that she realised she had an exceptional gift. As she made her first incision, it was as though she could actually see inside the patient’s body. Amongst the muscle and flesh she could see the darkness that was the malignant tumour, and also what the scans and tests had not shown – several smaller tumours. At the end of the surgery, Erin knew with complete certainty that the cancer had all been successfully removed and that the patient would survive.

Erin’s subsequent successes in the field of general surgery led to her being offered a two-year full scholarship at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles, under the tutelage of eminent cardiothoracic surgeon Leonard Mayer.

POWERS/ABILITIES:
Erin has several powers that are attributed to her Fae bloodline, however she is unaware that she has such abilities and believes them to be nothing more than mere good fortune.

Healing ~
Erin’s touch itself is healing, feeding illness and injury with the natural energies that flow through her Sidhe aura. She is also rarely ill herself, and recovers from injury much more quickly than regular humans. However, because Erin is not aware of this ability, she is only able to tap into it at its most basic level. Thus she has a natural instinct when it comes to how to cure an illness, able to ‘see’ the injury at a sixth sense level and use that to guide her actions.

Seduction ~
Erin’s Sidhe lineage makes her particularly attractive to humans. At a physical level she shares certain features that are characteristic of the Fae such as luminous complexion and eyes that almost seem to glow. When aroused, Erin’s appearance seems to project even more, making her appear ever more alluring. At its most extreme, this power would allow Erin to force others to do her bidding, even against their own will. However, again because she has no knowledge of this ability, it only ever manifests itself at a purely basic level – such as making Erin appear more persuasive than your average human. She is also never short of admirers.

:D She's kind of a bastard love-child of Matthias and Athela, with the half-Sidhe and the healing. We may have to see if Matthias might make a return now that Tash is dead - he and Erin would have a lot in common. :)

Ooooh, I like that idea (of Matthias coming back I mean) it gives me a great hook into a plot line I was thinking of...
