The Ice Man cut with his chainsaw
upon the ice till there was no more
but a unicorn standing tall and bright
people had watched it but now it was night
I sat and watched the unicon
as it melted all forlorn
I defended it when children decended
beaten with stones and rocks my body bended
til all the children went away
and I was left with my friend another day
the unicorn became less and less
it decended into nothingness
I will wonder till this day
why did my unicorn go away?

Why did it go away?
i am sorry to sound ignorant, but... huh??
Why did it go away?
I like the sense of randomness. I dont know if its intentional. Quite a bit of my stuff is random but more bleak and depressing. surprise surprise. Perdy ooonicorn!
Why did it go away?
reading this poem for the sixth time, i still don't know what it's main focus is, but i am so intrigued by it.....
all i could think of was that the unicorn and the man with the saw maybe a metaphor for something. what? I have no idea......
Why did it go away?
okay it acually is a true story (sort of)
Here's an idea, how about you try and guess what the poem is about?
and tell me which parts of the poem are made up just to make it sound beter?
hehehe
Why did it go away?
hmmmm, ok loooking at it again, i think it had something to do with ice sculpture. A man with a chainsaw (?) sculptured a unicorn. Everyone came and watched it. When night came, i guess it started to melt. You tried to stop it from melting (maybe someone was throughing salt at it and you tried to defend it), until the unicorn totally melted away, and you sat there wondering "why did the unicorn go away?"
I think the part made up to make the poem sound better is:
hmmm, am i right?
Why did it go away?
spot on
Why did it go away?
yeah, *does a happy dance*,
this however disproves my theory of the metaphoric unicorn.....
