If you read the recent Carmine Threads you may have noticed Magda looking at the Drop of Frustuglach on her dresser (the tiny, red gemstone with sparkles).

It could be significant if either an eager cub reporter sneaking into the scene of a grizzly murder or the special operative of a wizard who recently lost a henchman were to find that and keep it.

It could prove to be a vital link to Frustuglach the Demon later on.

Oh, I like that Dave, I really like that! And it sounds like just the kind of stupid, dumb-ass, niaeve and highly illegal thing that Meredith would do in an effort to earn her stripes.

She's the designated dumb-ass

and when/if Meredith does take it, a certain bigshot evil wizard type may try to track her down to get it...(enter scary music)

Questions - Would the Drop

Questions -

Would the Drop of Frustuglach  have the same effect on Meredith as it did on Carmine?

If yes, would it still affect her if she didn't touch it directly?

Would it be the same size or bigger? (it was the size of a pin head but it was said to appear larger.)

Any preference for where Magda lived?

I think the Drop of

I think the Drop of Frustuglach would only work on you if you had some sort of overwhelming desire which was frustrating you.  Something that could be exploited. I have to presume that the Drop is somehow connected to its namesake and that he wouldn't bother to try to exploit anyone who was strong-willed, not very desperate, or who might turn it to their advantage.

It is just the size of a pinhead.  It doesn't actually change size.  It appears larger (or smaller, I would think) based on its significance to any given person.
