Ok heres a basic overview of what we were thinking.
World:
The game takes place on Earth in the year 2003. The game will be global, and characters can station themselves in any part of the world they like. Despite the similarities to real life Earth, the game will not follow real world political events (Ex: Recent problems in the Middle East did not occur in super-hero world)
Imaginary Cities, Countries: You are allowed to make up imaginary cities and countries (Ex: Superman’s Metropolis, or Dr. Doom’s Latveria) so long as you make a “Place Bio” (Same as NPC submission).
People’s view of Superhumans: Everyone has different views of super-hero/villains. Some people admire/respect them, others fear them. There is no wide spread hatred for people with super powers. How society sees your character will probably stem from how he/she acts.
Characters:
Super Heroes as well as Villains are open for PC use. When making a character submission include: Real Name, Code Name, Height, Weight, Eye colour, hair colour, Alignment, group affiliation (more on groups later on), Physical description, Personality description, History, description of Super-Powers (if any), Special Items, Base of Operation (if any), country or city often found in, rogue gallery Actor/actress who plays them, and if you want, a pic from the web site Dave linked to before.
When creating a character, try to be original. Do not make blatant rip offs of Wolverine, Superman, Batman etc. (Blatant Rip off would include: “My character has super sharp adamantium claws, coming out of his hands) Also, powers which are deemed too powerful may not be accepted. Democracy vote will judge what is acceptable and what isnt. (Take a look at Dave’s List of Powers for ideas, its VERY extensive)
It is also suggested that you make an anti hero/villain to counteract your character. An NPC who will be your arch nemesis. This is not essential (perhaps another PC will be your rival) but it is an easy way to get your story going.
Groups:
Groups like the “X-Men, Avengers, Justice League (etc) are encouraged. They can be a coalition of either PCs, NPCs, or a mix of PCs/NPCs. If you plan on making a group, you must create a Team profile: Members, Base of Operation, Reason for group, (basically same as a character profile).
Rules:
Rules of play are the same as LABN (refer to those rules) and Character Submissions will be handled the same way. Avatars of your characters could either be pics of the actor/actress or sketches of your hero in their costume.

question....can you opt to be a pc who is not like a superhero? i mean do you have to have powers? for example it could be a person looking to be a hero but with no powers? or something along the lines?

Ok there is enough of the game to start character submissions. (infact ive already recieved 2). However, i figure for us to vote on all the characters, I cant really start posting them on that site, since none of you are members on the "Legends" board.
With that said, Should I post character submissions here until we have like 3-4 people? If thats not a good idea, im open to ideas.

If you make your way to the Legends site, and check the gameboard, you'll see a forum (open to all) called CHaracter Proposals. I need you all to take alittle time out of your busy schedules and vote on each others characters, that way we can get the game underway. Just make sure you use your name when voting so it wont say "Guest" full of times. There are already 2 proposals, so get your butts in gear. :D
