Just a reminder to the 'old hands' and a guide for the 'fresh blood' on the timing of posts within the Season proper. It's somewhat different to the way we post in mid-season. Mid-season is very broken up and relates to individual stories, so timing isn't particularly relevant.
Within a story season, however, all characters must interrelate and so the timing of each post must be consistent with those around it. In practical terms, this means that posts shouldn't move beyond a particular day until all characters are done with it. Conversely, if you've got something that relates to a game day but you're dragging arse too much and it passes by, you've got the choice to update the post or forget about it.
Time jumps can and will occur, but they will be done in concert, with all characters jumping forward to the same day at the same time. The 'in-between' time is taken to be time during which little out of the ordinary happened to any of the characters (ie, evil masterminds were busy plotting in their lairs, vampire hunters were out hunting, etc.). Allusion can be made to events that happened during the 'down time', but only as reference or - if necessary - flashback.
Season Three will differ slightly from Seasons One and Two in one respect with timing, however. There is to be a rather separate sub-plot set on G'rnatha, where it is conceivable that time runs differently to that on Earth. And given that the characters on G'rnatha won't be interacting with anyone on Earth during that storyline we will effectively be running two distinct timelines. When those of us on G'rnatha return to Earth, we will 'appear' on the day the game is currently up to at that point.
Dave has made the initial post for Season Three, but it seems clear that most people are still sorting themselves out before committing to write for it. Unless there's any pressing need to post anything dated the 1st July (to coincide with the destruction of Narcosis), I would propose at this point that we begin with a jump to the following week, to try to keep the game time moving along as much as possible. Basically, we would use that initial post as a prologue, and begin the pc action from the 8th July or even later, possibly.
The plan this season is to have the big finale dated game time on 31st October. And since the real time end of the season is also 31st October that means we'll need to be much more on top of the passage of game time than we have been in previous seasons. So, try not to get bogged down on any one day... keep it moving and we'll make it. :)

I am all for a jump if necessary. Daye will be out of the country until the date I decide to return her to the game, so whenever the game is at will be adaptable for me.

In trying to stick with the plan, I have decided to make my first (short) post for season 10th July. Yeah, I know it's not my best work, but this saves Heather from hurting me again. :)
