Description:
Oz appears as a fellow in fit condition in his mid to late thirties. He has dark soulful eyes with a color that seems to change depending on the observer (leaving them with a general feeling of "dark"). His expression is usually dour with an occasional small smile that seems to satisfy most people.

Background:
Prior to 1955 Ozimandius was an Angel. It was his job to carry messages from Heaven to those on Earth. He placed the faces of Jesus and Mary in the shadows of trees and on screen doors. He whispered the names of the saints in the ears of those in churches and he whipped the flags of war in Jihads and Righteous Wars.
But in 1955 he fell in love. The only messages he wanted to carry from that day forth were the songs of love in his heart for his beloved Margaret. She was a beautiful woman who had renounced the world of man and was prepared (at the age of 21) to take vows to become a Sister in a Holy order.
Oz was the one who was tasked with carrying her call from God to accept the vow. He never delivered it. His betrayal caused him to be ejected from Heaven and no longer be part of the Celestial Court. He was mortal.
He married Margaret (under the name Fred Hargave) and they lived for a further 50 years happy and content. But Ozimandius was not made of the same sort of frail mortal stuff we are. He was made of the stronger original materials of the universe. He may be mortal, but his lifespan could be measured on par with Methuselah.
He watched the love of his life get old and finally die in her sleep on February 22, 2005 at the age of 71.
Heartbroken and lost he has kept up his charade of life in Alhambra. He has mowed his lawn, gone to work at the job he has worked for the last 30 years (auto mechanic). He has continued to gray his hair and apply the makup that wrinkles his skin. But he has grown weary of the deception.
On the night of July 16, 2006 he prepared to smother himself peacefully in his bed. He was about to place the bag over his face when an Angel appeared to him and told him that God still loved him. The Angel explained that if Oz's despair made him end his mortal existence that even God's love would not be enough to rescue him from his fate.
Oz did not sleep that night. Rather, for the first time in 50 years he prayed to God and heard the wings of the angels carrying his prayers to Heaven.
Oz left the home he and his wife had owned for 30 years and the life he had built and started anew. A new identity as Ozimandius DeAngelo (or the De-Angel'd) and a new life began that morning.
Items:
Ozimandius carries a broadsword in combat that was his badge of office as an Angel. It is not extraordinary in any way as a weapon although Oz is very adept in its use.
In the hands of an Angel it cannot be disarmed (although it can be broken, parried, or deflected).
Powers/Abilities:
Oz can fly. He was made mortal but he was not unmade an Angel. He was stripped of his 'heavenly powers' (see other angels, carry messages to and from God, intercessory prayer (see Brinkly and Ra), invisibility to mortals, and such) but his wings he was allowed to keep.
His wings are only visible when he flies, and then as a 'heat shimmer' that extends from his back. Close up they appear as translucent flames that burn but do not consume. Oz can fly at up to 30 miles an hour but it is strenuous activity (roughly equivalent to a full sprint) and he cannot maintain it for long like he could before he became mortal and needed to replenish his energy by eating and sleeping and such.
Oz is very mortal. He has the same physiology as a human. He can breed (although he and Margaret have no surviving children). He can be injured and he can certainly be killed by bullets or by poison. His health makes him very resistant to disease (although not supernaturally so) and he has no more strength or stamina than a fit human of about the age of 30.
Oz is trained in combat and battled the forces of Lucifer at the Fall. Oz is adept in sword use and the use of armor, shields and other forms of primitive weaponry. He has in recent years practiced archery and shooting but for recreation only (although he has a natural talent for them).
He attends church, is a lay minister in his congregation and has an unsurpassed knowledge of the holy writings of most major religions (even non-Christian ones). Oz is also a natural at languages and writes and speaks Aramaic, Latin, Greek, Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), Italian, German, Spanish, and English fluently.
Update
Oz has several Aliases. They are Fred Hargrave, Bob Freytag, Donald Chaucer and Wallace Trumbull.
Fred Hargrave is the name Oz took when he first became mortal, and it is the name he used as the husband of margaret Hargrave and as the father of Fred Hargrave. It was 'Hargrave Auto Shop' that he owned and operated for many years.
Fred & Margaret Hargrave's only son, Frank was killed in Vietnam in 1972 but was pronounced MIA by the War Department. He was briefly resurrected in 2006 by the God-Entity Reginald and killed again by Azrael on Christmas Eve (which is now his 'official' time and place of death).
