This isn't a thread for a lot of discussion. It is more of a place to list what songs you are using in your post. Why? Imagine our embarassment if we were to ALL use the same songs. Apalling. So, without (much more) explaination, here is my song list:
- "Days go By" by Dirty Vegas
- A montage "Crazy" by Patsy Cline/"Larger Than Life" by The Backstreet Boys/"The Trial" by Pink Floyd
- "Ballroom Blitz" by Sweet
- "Nobody's Home" by Avril Levine
- "Fallen" by Sarah McLachlan

The Musical - Song Lists
At the moment, I'm just using tunes of songs (And for that matter, don't have a full list yet). If anyone wants to suggest an actual song, won't be objecting. The lyrics, at least, will be original and hopefully not too bad.

Okay here's my 'list' :)
- "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" by Andy Williams
- A semi-montage including - "I'm Waiting For The Man" by Velvet Underground, "Hypnotize" by The White Stripes, "One Minute Man" by Missy Elliot, "Come What May" from the film Moulin Rouge (These are not definate at the moment so if anyone was desperately wanting to use one of these songs just let me know and we can work it out.)
- "Dangerously in Love" by Beyonce Knowles

Whether it is the tune or the entire song it'd be a good idea to place the titles here so that we can avoid any overlapping.

I'm actually not too conserned about no overlapping - it most of us used all the same songs, it would be an embarassement. Some may well be unavoidable, and I don't want people to feel that, because I've used the 'tune' that they can't as well.
Just due to our size, I think some overlap may be expected, and indeed, unavoidable - except, perhaps, if we had one or two songs that were really central to what our characters are singing about.
For the moment, I've stuck to musicals; I'm using the TUNE of "Comedy Tonight," "Could we start again, please?", and "Heaven on their minds." However, I don't want people to feel they can't use these, because my list isn't set until the piece is actually written and posted so may well change at the last minute. :)

- "You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman" by Carole King, and
- "So Much For My Happy Ending" by Avril Lavigne (yes, our very own Slayer, hehe).

There are a couple of otehrs, but i'm still scrounging them up and fine tuning my characters pipes for them. These were just the ones i knew right out :)

There's no danger of my song conflicting, as I went an entirely different route with this. I have no real melody. It's more a description of the way the music moves and changes, set inside the lyrics I've written. So...there's just the one song Daye sings to Drew.
Also, Lou and Shaun and I tentatively have something planned for "Independent Woman" by Destiny's Child.
