Background
Reah was born on the 29th of February, 1984 on Australia’s west coast to parents Shane (a full martial arts instructor) and Cari (an Aboriginal).
In 1988, Shane and Cari made the decision to move to the Sunshine Coast with Reah where they would raise her and care for Reah’s last surviving grandparent, Grandma, Shane’s mother who was sick and unable to care for herself, but with stubbornness being that side of the family genes, refused to move from her current location.
So Reah was raised by her father, mother and to an extent, grandmother in their Sunshine Coast home.
Reah’s parents were soon to discover, however, that as sunny and happy the coast might be during the day, at night there seemed to be a twist to the tale, ie, mysterious killings, bodies, noises, smells…although the last two Shane and Cari agreed were probably just related to Grandma.
As a result, Shane decided it necessary to train Reah in any and every form of martial art, combat and improvisation techniques he new or could think of, not so long after they had discovered the Sunshine Coasts night activity. He also had Reah tag along on his ventures to shooting fields where she acquired a taste for yet another weapon! Shane soon found Reah to have a strong talent for every fighting technique he threw at her, and she was always quick to learn and grew to match even his own skills (although she exceeded Shane in scratching and hair pulling) by the age of 16 (4 in her unfortunate case).
Reah’s mother, Cari, being a woman and her mother, (in case you missed that point) worried that so much combat training would make Reah forget that she was female and would be incapable of sustaining the grace and quality of one. Cari attempted to give Reah lessons in tapestry, as much as Reah protested, but was soon convinced otherwise when Reah found new uses for the needles and her newly acquired improvisation skills! In a second attempt, which she insisted apon Reah as a last resort, Cari attempted to give her dance lessons, which Reah ended up taking to rather well and became quite talented in ballroom, Latin, and tap.
Reah’s grandmother was similar to Cari in reference to Reah’s gender, but in a different sense. She wouldn’t let Reah forget she was female, therefore encouraging the girl to learn how to use this gift to her advantage! She would then persist in telling stories to Reah of when she was a teenager! These also tended to be the times in which Shane and Cari would move Grandma out of the room because it just happened to be time for her medicine.
Reah also developed interests of her own in things such as skating, surfing, motor-cross racing, and surf lifesaving (which she took part in at the local Surf Lifesaving Club).
School wasn’t her strongest point, except for PE and Health and Human Development (where she had already learnt everything and MORE from Grandma!).
And so was Reah’s life up until the night before her 18th (4 and a half) birthday.
That morning on the 28th, Shane gave Reah a katana that he had apparently had given to him by his Master many, many years ago. He had never used it before, never really intended to, and had kept it locked in a chest in the attic, yet it hadn’t lost any of its splendour nor its edge after so many years in storage and who knows what before that.
Later that night Reah attended the Surf Lifesaving Club, because of a special congratulatory dinner for members only on passing their final, however, it was also set up as a celebration for Reah for reaching the age of legal drinking. Her parents had known of this surprise celebration and chose not to attend so they could leave Reah to enjoy a night with her friends.
Upon returning home late that night/morning, she discovered her parents slautered and barely recognisable other than the small silver cross with the saphirelying beyond the reach of her mothers outstreatched fingers, and the broken silver chain around her mothers neck below two bloody puncture marks that also appeard on her fathers neck that was twisted at an unimagionable angle. Reah vowed to find who murdered her parents and reap vengence apon them.
Reah was ignorant of vampires and demons at the time of her parents death, but in hunting down the trail of her parents murderers, she soon discovered a new reality and the truth of what had happened to her parents.
She has since hunted vampires, trying to regain the satisfaction with life that she had lost, but has yet to find it and is begining to doubt she ever will.
Still following the trail of her parents killers she has travelled all over Australia, and across the world to Europe, Namely to Germany where she resided for the past two months and learnt a bit of German.
Not even sure if she is on the right trail of her parents killers, or any trail at all for that matter. Her life had become more of a seek and destroy evil vampire guys, and the occasional miscellaneous demon when she accidently walked into the wrong lair she believed would be a vamps.
Starting to lose hope in ever finding her parents killers, she comes to a realisation in her studies of vampires that it's ultimately every vampire that can be held responsable for her parents deaths and began to treat it as such. Her kills began to get as merciless as ever, her chases unrelenting and sometimes to great extremes.
Reah's most recent chases have taken her overseas to L.A. to track down a vampire that killed a mother and her baby that were in the park at some ungodly hour for some unknown reason that Reah couldn't care less about. They're dead, vampires...that's good enough reason to hunt and kill!
Items
Reah owns a Katana that was given to her by her father for her '18th' or 4 and a half birthday.
Other weapons include; Cougar Magnum, Crossbow, her lucky throwing knife, a Katar made of silver, and of course stakes.
She has a black BMW R1100 SA motorbike that she claimed off a vamp she dusted in Germany.
Reah also wears a silver cross, with a saphire embedded in the centre, on a sliver chain around her neck.
Powers/Abilities
Reah has no sense of magic what-so-ever, only that it exists and that she can't channel it.
Her only special abilities is years of combat training in martial arts and weaponry, and a touch of dance that had developed her skills of hunting out vampires.
Over two years of practising stealthy ways and tracking, she has leart to cut out distractions and focus on individual trails.
Reah's sense of smell and taste are only as good as any average human, but her sense of sight and sound have sharpened over the years, but nothing phenominal. She is also ambidextrous.
Her left arm has the ability to dislocate at unintended times, although Reah has generally considered this to be more of a burden than a gift.
