I have to be honest I was a religious Xena fan, but the reruns are somehow ...less interesting. I keep getting this "seen that" feeling.
Hercules reruns are pretty common, but the Xena ones (especially the better episodes) are hard to find. Any thoughts?

Tough, t-t-t-tough. Turns out I've seen all the Xena seasons except the last one, which aired in America last year I think :?
There's only one channel in ol' Blighty that actually shows Xena and Hercules - Channel Five, at the moment it doesn't show ANY episodes of Xena, but it does show Hercules (re-runs) on a Saturday morning/afternoon. Unluckily for moi, I work Saturdays, so it's very rare that I actually get to watch ANY :(
And when I do - I agree with you Dave, it always seems to be an episode that I've seen a hundred times over. Shame cause I was really cultivating a good Xena war cry! :D
I think the only way might be to rent or buy the videos...

I only started watching Xena this year after I ran out of Buffy and Angel episodes to keep me amused (hurry up with season 7 guys! We need it over here!!!!) So for a change, I decided to have a go at Xena and I bought series 1 thru 5 on DVD (although I had to buy part 2 of series five on VHS, but I won't bore you with that story...) and I have only just reached halfway thru season four.
I try to watch at least an episode a day, but it's quite hard juggling college, work AND a social life.

I've really only ever caught bits and pieces of Xena. Did have Season One on DVD, but when I split with my husband he kept the Xena and Angel and I got the Buffy (fair trade, I think :)).
And again, whenever I manage to catch a repeat on telly (which they haven't shown for bloody ages) it always seems to be one I've seen umpteen times, even though I know there are a bunch of eps out there I've never seen.
Kevin, come on out to Australia for a holiday sometime - and bring your DVD collection with you... :wink:

Ooh yes I must. I'd love to go to Australia sometime. If only I wasn't such a poor student (in case you're wondering why, when I am a poor student, I could afford to buy the Xena DVDs, a student loan tends to make you lose sight of the price of things for a while!)
Was Xena ever actually on TV over here? The first thing I ever heard about Xena was a reference by Willow on the "Halloween" episode of season two ("she couldn't've dressed like Xena!") so I just sorta was led into it with my Buffy obsession.
And god, you so got the best deal in gaining custody of the Buffys!

Yes Kevin, Xena used to be shown on Channel Five every Saturday evening (around 6ish) after that horrible Dance Fever programme with Sugs :?

That probably explains why I didn't see it then. I didn't get channel 5 until a year or so ago when I got Sky because I live in such a stupid area, Channel 5 isn't available through analouge TV.
