Guidelines
1. No characters from either Buffy: The Vampire Slayer or Angel shows will be even considered.
2. No vampires older than 200 years or demons older than 2000 years will be considered. No Gods.
3. No character can be the Slayer or a Slayer potential in the Slayer succession (i.e. you must be PAST the age where you might be the Slayer). Few Slayers ever know they were potentials and as a rule Slayers (and Slayer potentials past and present) DO NOT know how to wield magic.
4. "Powerful" witches don't bunch up in places...they spread out. They don't want the competition. We have plenty of powerful witches in LA so unless you have a very unique spin on it, don't try.
5. Telekinesis, Telepathy, Pyrokinesis, Flying, Super Strength, Teleportation, Invulnerability, Regeneration and Time Travel are super-powers. If you want all of these things (or even more than one of these things) you might consider playing Fantastic Legends. Keep it simple, and be prepared to have people question why you have particular powers.
6. Magical items are not a problem as long as you write about where it came from, why you own it and what it can do. "I got it from my father" isn't acceptable - we want more.
7. If your family was all killed as part of your origin story, forget it. It has been done to death (pun intended). Try another storytelling route.
There are exceptions to all of the above rules. But in every case it was discussed, considered, and finally carefully allowed with everyone keeping a close eye on the results. So be aware, that until you have proved capable of handling an exception with sensitivity and care, it will likely not be allowed.
Template
Try to stick to this format as closely as possible. Although you are free to add additional information this is simply the minimum we are looking for:
Race: (Human, Demon, Vampire, or other new type)
Gender: (Male or Female)
Group: It isn't neccessary to be affiliated with a group, but There are some good groups to choose from
Position: Are you the leader? Perhaps a favored Lieutenant. Put that here.
Description: (general physical description)
History: (a detailed background for this character)
Items: Any special things that this character carries (Xena had her Chakrem for instance, Gabrielle her Staff and Scrolls)
Powers: This doesn't have to be filled out with super-powers but if you have any extraordinary talents or abilities here is where you list them. Giles (for instance) was a master of research and Willow was a computer hacker (as well as a Wicca of some power). NOTE: The Vampire power set is pretty awesome and is not variable. If you put Vampire Powers AND something, you'd better be prepared to justify it.
Played by: Choose an actor or actress who will play the part of this character in this game. DO NOT choose an actor or actress who has starred in Buffy or Angel Or who is already being used by another player as a character (You can check here)
