I was in the car this afternoon when "Somewhere I Belong" by Linkin Park came on the radio...i was listening to it real loud and soon enough i started thinking about Alex...i was just wondering if anyone else has some songs in mind when they think of any of their respective characters (like, "deadhouse" by katatonia makes me think of adriano as well  )

i always thought music was important when writing stuff, even for my stuff on LABN...when i read comics i always have some type of music to fit the mood, i find it reads so much better...anyone else share some same thoughts or different ones

Hehe, you could probs find a song for him by NSYNC or something, lol! him being such a pretty boy and all.

okies, shutting up...hehe

*thinks of songs for Lash* hm... choices choices... hehe:

The minute you walked in the joint
I could see you were a man of distinction
A real big spender
Good lookin' so refined
Say, wouldn't you like to know what's goin' on in my mind?

So let me get right to the point
I don't pop my cork for every guy i see
hey big spender,
spend a little time with me

...

hehe  i think it fits one of her characteristics like a glove. there are more lyrics...i just wanted to get right to the point, hehe

I don't think that particular songs really work for how a charecter is in general most times. There are some exceptions, though - for instance, if you visit the Farscape site Santum of Scorpius, the "Master Approved Metal" section largely fits him.

Music usually works better for me with moods, either for a post or that a charecter is in. In fact, if I can find a CD which generally fits the mood of the scene, I will usually listen to that while doing the actual writting. That's also a good way to find inspiration when needed to write something that just doesn't want to be written.

For the Fixer himself, I can't really think of anything (which does not mean I wouldn't mind wondering if anyone else thinks of him when they hear something).

hehe, yarg! hence why i said the "Hey Big Spender" would fit ONE of her characteristics... it would change, like her mood :D

I was listening to this song when I wrote Sydney's escape from the Project. It always reminds me of her because she is somewhat new to the world and learning about what it means to be free, I especially like the version by Muse because it's a bit more gutsy than the Nina Simone original and I think it fits Sydney better.

Feeling Good

Birds flying high, you know how I feel.
Sun in the sky, you know how I feel.
Reeds drifting on by, you know how I feel.
It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life, for me.
And I'm feeling good.

Fish in the sea, you know how I feel.
River running free, you know how I feel.
Blossom in the trees, you know how I feel.
It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life, for me.
And I'm feeling good.

Dragonflies all out in the sun
You know what I mean, don't you know
Butterflies are all having fun
You know what I mean
Sleep in peace
When the day is done
And this old world is a new world and a bold world for me.

Stars when you shine, you know how I feel.
Scent of the pine you know how I feel.
Yeah freedom is mine
And you know how I feel
It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life, for me.
And I'm feeling good.

Well, I got to thinking about this, and something came to mind as possibly fitting for the Illuminati in general, perhaps Observer in specific. That is part of Holst's Planets Suite: Neptune, the Mystic.

If this sounds similar to Emperor Palpatine's theme, it is because John Williams was propbably under the influence of Holst when doing the musis for star wars, especially Mars, Bringer of War.
