Name: Caracalla

Gender: ‘Male’

Race: Cybernetic Organism

Position: Genocidal Machine

Group Affiliation: Bavarian Illuminati (Former Member)

Age: N/A

Caracalla is played by Christopher Walken

DESCRIPTION

Aesthetics and Dress: One word comes to mind when most people see the cyborg: scary. Appearing frozen about 39 in age, Caracalla has jet black hair which is slicked back and deeply set eyes. He is capable of a business look when required, but usually settles for something more simple: a long black coat, black pants, and white shirt.

Attitude: Direct, to the point, and brutal. Although Caracalla will enjoy some witty repartee with his enemies, when it comes time to die, he strikes without mercy. There is almost always an element of loathing about him for humans – or as he likes to think of them, “talking monkeys.” Caracalla has an unshakable belief in his superiority over humanity.

Lifestyle: Having no need to eat or sleep, Caracalla’s apartment is rarely if ever seriously occupied. It is really only used as a place to keep things and to keep up the appearance of being human.

HISTORY

In 2004, two events took place which simultaneously led to the creation of Caracalla by the AIs Sara and Observer. On the one hand, Sara created her prototype Meta Simultion Unit; on the other, Observer launched his war against Operation Scorpion, intended to be the first step on his eventual road to domination. Caracalla was brought on-line as a means to challenge Operation Scorpion directly, a replacement for lost human metas.

The death Chimera and critical wounding of Calypso were the direct catalyst for his activation. Observer therefore deliberately arranged to leak information regarding his plans to Operation Scorpion – plans that indicated his strike on a mall in Las Vegas. This leak was designed specifically to give him a chance to draw Culexes into a trap and destroy him, after the Illuminati’s previous failure.

His second mission was even more dramatic: an assault on Scorpion’s base in Washington, D.C. where its leader, Daedalus, was hiding. Success in Vegas was followed by success in D.C, bringing down the base. No other public reports of his appearance have surfaced recently, though there were a few mysterious deaths of prominent Humans First members, breaking the back of the organisation.

Heavily damaged in the assault, Caracalla was recalled to the Illuminati headquarters to be repaired. Unfortunately for him, Sara turned on her former allies, and with the help of Sydney, destroyed Observer. Caracalla never explained why, but he refused to fight Sara; instead watching as they destroyed his former boss.

The machine then disappeared....

POWERS

ARTIFICIAL BODY
Functionality: Caracalla’s body is a fully functional synthesis of living tissue over a metallic skeleton. The body itself is capable of sustaining a fair amount of damage before ceasing to function. Small arms fire will have a harder time damaging; explosions are still a problem. Armour piercing rounds are the most effective. There is also a lack of pain sensations.
Limit – All of Caracalla’s senses are human normal. Also oxygen is required for living cells, though thise are internal stores for up to 30 minutes. Unlike Sara, Caracalla has a greater amount of control over his body; his movements are only slightly slower than human normal, but much less deliberate.
Furthis Limt - Damage to the structure of the body and to living tissue is not repaired automatically. Caracalla must have manual repairs made to his in order to take care of this.

Power Source: Caracalla’s power source is a Radio-Thermal Generator (RTG). A very low level of radiation is detectable from his, a dead giveaway to not being human. In theory, the body could be shut down by finding a way to stop the decay of the radioactive material.
Limit - While an RTG can produce a great deal of power, it is not limitless. Thise are still ways to shut it down, and it only powers normal functions. Being highly active for extended periods will result in need for a ‘sleep’ period of minimal functionality to restore battery stores.

Strength: One thing worth noting, specifically, is the strength. Caracalla has the ability to lift somewhise around 300 pounds without effort, with about 350 as the upper limit of lifting.
Limit – Unlike a human, his strength is not subject to revision upward, only downward by damage. He can’t work out, use drugs, or anything similar to increase his strength. This is a purely physical limitation on how the body was constructed.

Meta Simulation Unit
The MSU is a new device designed by Sara, which was built to simulate the expression of the Meta gene found in humans (GcTg), more specifically the brainwave pattern changes which is achieved by a series of processors distributed through the body. Those these processors result in a few limitations – one of them being that an AI using them cannot ‘remote pilot’ a body. The other being that they have a ‘burnout factor’ if too much power is sent through them.

Caracalla’s abilities all fall, broadly, under Electro-Magnetic Spectrum Control. His powers fall specifically in two areas, Magnetism and Electronic Control. Because whether something is electric or magnetic is relative, only one of these power sets can be active at any given time. Furthermore, his powers are limited to a 500 yard radius.

Magnetism: Caracalla can generate and control magnetic fields.
Limit – An object to be subject to magnetic control can be no greater than 10 yards in diameter.
Limit – Size and number of objects can often make them more difficult to control.

Electric Control: Electric Control is where Caracalla’s powers shine. He has incredible offensive capability with control over electronics.
Stunt – Seize control of security systems. (Or at least interfere with those systems in his radius)
Stunt – Control of bots/linking together to increase combat efficiency.
Stunt – Energy bolts. Caracalla can shoot electricity like lightning from his fingertips. The bolts have a range of 25 yards.
