Description: Like all Jay’vex women Lara has light brown hair and big greenish eyes in a small heart shaped face. She is a small woman with a thin complexion but years of strong excersise and riding her madris have given her strong muscles and quick reflexes.

History: Lara was born into the Jay’vex family, the eldest and only daughter and as such, she has known from a very early age that she’d be next Chume. Her childhood was spent preparing her for her future responsibility, and as such she received an excelent education that covered a myriad of aspects that as a Chume she’d have to master and as a lady should know, including training in Hapan Martial Arts. However, in spite of the burden of responsibility, Lara was a happy and outgoing child who grew up to become a contented and outgoing woman. As the heir of one of Vorgrell’s noble houses, she forged a strong friendship with three of the other noble heirs: Zayen Orsiri, Corin Archell and Myklos Bertrayn, even dating Zayen during their teenage years, a relationship that didnt prosper but made their friendship even closer. A small known fact is that Lara is also the only girl to ever dump the Orsiri Prince.

Lara is an excelent rider. She loves riding her personal madris mare, Bel, in Charubah Ranch. On its back, racing through the rocky plains or even venturing into the city, Lara feels free and elated. She is an excellent trak racer too, and has won several Championships at the Hapes Race Trak with her Bel. She doesnt race for money, though, as it is thought not befitting the Jay’vex heir. Lara had comfortable and large stables built at the back of the Rose Castle to house Bel.

In the night of the Orsiri Coup, Lara had just arrived from her nightly ride on Bel. Puzzled about the unseemingly emptiness of the castle’s stables, she dismounted the madris and loosely tied the reigns to the stable’s doors. There wasnt anybody around the back entrance leading to the family’s personal area either, and the silence was becoming oppressive. Once inside the castle things were even more strange, nobody crossed her path as she walked silently to her mother’s chambers. A far thumping on the floors, as from many people running together, finally decided her to enter one of the secret corridors along the walls. Peekholes, regularly placed, allowed her to check on a succession of empty rooms, some of them ordered, some of them in disorder, as if some kind of fight had occurred. With the conviction that something terrible had happened, placing her hand on her vibro-blade Lara just kept walking towards her mother’s habitations.

When she finally arrived to the peekhole looking into her mother’s chambers, Lara confirmed her suspicions. A group of stormtroopers was aiming her mother and Lara’s personal bodyguard. Both women were calmly sitting on Nara’s bed. Obviously the troopers hadnt realized that they had been duped, Jasira, her protector and bodyguard looked eerily like her, reason for which she had been chosen. As long as the troopers thought they had the right Lara, she had some possibility of helping her mother. She watched a moment longer the grizzly tableau and had turned to leave and get help when hell broke loose. The imperials had been evidently waiting for something, Lara didnt know what had provoked them to fire, she just whirled when she heard the first blaster shot and with impotent eyes watched how her mother and her bodyguard and friend, were blasted to death. In the last moment, her eyes locked with her mother’s through the small peekhole, and Nara gave her daughter a small smile. She had known all along that she was looking.

Horrified, Lara turned around and run through the maze of secret corridors, waching through the peekholes in search of her father, but she couldnt see him nowhere. She finally gave up hope of finding him and retraced her steps towards the castle’s back. She came out of the castle through the thick rose bushes that hid the secret entrance. When she finally emerged she almost fainted with relief when she saw her father standing near Bel. Too relieved to notice his relaxed stance, Lara run towards him, she didnt notice the surprise in his eyes at her sight either. The tall, handsome man just opened his arms to hug her and in the moment she buried herself into his embrace she heard him shout.

“Guards! To me!” Lara parted herself from him away and looked into her father’s hard eyes, hers asking for an explanation. The man she had loved till that very moment just shrugged, “If i’m to be ruler of this house there must not be any woman left.”

The sound of approaching troopers shook Lara out of her reverie, she started to shove him away but her father gripped her arm viciously. “You arent going anywhere, daughter.” He said.

Lara didnt talk, she whirled in his grip and with a coldness she didnt think herself capable of, slid her vibro-blade between her father’s ribs. She watched him as he looked up, astonishment in his face, and felt nauseated for a second, then an image of her mother’s last smile flashed in her mind and she buried the knife even deeper. “Good bye, father,” she spat and let him slump to the ground.

The troopers were approaching, she didnt have much time. Lara took her madris’ reigns and mounted, the high-spirited beast shook her powerful head and jumped into the rose bushes and the Halean Gardens.

Abilities: Lara is an excellent madris rider, and has a special emphaty with her mare Bel. Years of riding have fortified her arm and leg’s muscles. She’s much stronger than she looks.

She is also profficient in the Hapan martial arts, a form of hand-to-hand combat that was developed by the Hapans. Very few outside the Hapes Cluster know of this form of martial arts, and fewer still are able to master it. However, the knowledge has been passed through the Jay’vex family members.

Items: apart from Bel, her madris, nothing of interest.
