DESCRIPTION:
Rose is an enigmatic and imposing African woman with long, reddish-brown strands of hair rolled into fine dreadlocks. She has a steady, sometimes insane stare that often drives others away—even demons and other vampires. The fierceness one hears in Rose’s voice only reinforces her creepy reputation, as does the subtle malice in every word she speaks.
She can often be found telling tales of her time with the Black Veins, the once-powerful L.A. gang that counted her sire among its leaders. Those who sit and listen will be rewarded with some fascinating titbits hidden in the depths of Rosie’s ramblings. Vampires who pursue further wisdom will find that Bellwether lives up to her name. She is a guide who takes select special vampires under her tutelage and leads them. Where she is leading them to is anyone’s guess.

BACKGROUND:
Most of Rosie’s background can only be gleaned from her constant ravings and recollections. She claims to have been a member of the Black Veins, and so far no one has contested this fact. Her sire was also a Black Vein, the vampire Ebony, and was at the top of the organisation. After her sire was slain by huntress Natasha Brookes of the White Hats gang, Rosie stayed with the Veins for a short time. After lapsing into a form of depression over the loss of her sire Rose left the gang. This is presumably the only way she escaped the certain doom the Veins suffered at the hands of the ancient vampire Dathan, which effectively destroyed the organisation.
No move has been made since then to reclaim the Black Veins’ former “glory” until the summer of 2007 when she took on Benji Law as her student as well as his students Walt and Julia. These four formed the core of the new Veins with the intention of pulling in more members. One new member Rose didn’t count on was Natasha Brookes, LA’s famous vampire-slaying White Hat, recently turned into a vampire. After apparent initial hesitation, Rose soon realised the asset Tash could be to the gang.
When the White Hats finally caught up to Tash and the Black Veins were forced to spring their plan, Tash led the gang of vampires and demons in a great battle. Though Rose and Benji were strangely absent in the battle, Benji claims that he and his mentor did join the fray, only to see Rosie killed by some unknown cause. With the demise of Black Rose Bellwether the last of the original Black Veins has died her second death, leaving the organisation in the unproven hands of Benji Law.
Months after the Veins' battle with the White Hats, it was revealed that Benji had killed Rose himself after discovering that she had been working with a mysterious benefactor on a scheme of their own. That was the end of her story...
POWERS/ABILITIES:
Despite her mysterious aura, Rosie possessed only basic vampire powers—nothing too fancy. Some cite her “mad-eye stare” as a demonic trick, but it wasn’t. She was just that crazy.
ITEMS:
Rosie held no items dear to her, however she had one pet. It was a black cat, who was named, oddly enough, “Bird”. Rosie’s follower Julia has adopted the feline in Rose’s absence.
