Christmas Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup of water
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup of brown sugar
lemon juice
4 large eggs
nuts
bottle Vodka
2 cups of dried fruit
Instructions:
Sample the vodka to check quality.
Take a large bowl, check the vodka again.
To be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and
drink.
Repeat.
Turn on the electric mixer.
Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl.
Add one teaspoon of sugar.
Beat again.
At this point it's best to make sure the vodka is shtill OK.
Try another cup ... just in case
Turn off the mixerer.
Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit.
Pick fruit off floor.
Mix on the turner.
If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers pry it loose with a drewscriver.
Sample the vodka to check for tonsisticity.
Next, sift two cups of salt. Or something. Who giveshz a shit.
Check the vodka.
Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts.
Add one table.
Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find.
Greash the oven.
Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over.
Don't forget to beat off the turner.
Finally, throw the bowl through the window, finish the vodka and kick the cat.

thought I'd also ask if anyone made any interesting new years resolutions?
I only made one resolution that was not to drink any alcholic beverages anymore.
so far I havn't broken it... much... well... ok I totally broke it on the 1st when I found out it didn't hurt to drink anymore so... well... ok... my resolution didn't even last a day, but I really ment it when I said it
for the record my new years was funny, I was real happy because I found my wallet and could spend as much money as I wanted, I got all ready to go down the local pub (I got all dressed up in my most fancy clothes) it looked the new years celabrations were going to be good there.
Anyway, there I was all dressed up ready to go but it was only 7:30pm so I thought *ahh I'll just watch a little tv for a bit*.
I have found recently that if I sit in front of a tv for more than 15 minutes I fall asleep.
so the story goes on to say I woke up 6am the next morning laying on the couch. I looked up at the clock and proceded to laugh until my sides hurt.:lol:
I'm not sure if I had any sanity before but if I did it slipped away from me at that moment and now I am a true raving mad lunatic

my new years resolution...hmmmm....don't eat, lose weight, keep away from chocolates,....i didn't work, i recalled that before i made the resolution i was better at the diet then after it....i totally pigged out this entire week.
And you the the freaking thing about it? I was gaining weight before my resolution and losing it AFTER THE PIGOUT!!!!!!!!

Saadia, there's this funny thing about losing weight. Eating less will work against you. Eating keeps your metabolism going. So if you eat less, you will burn less. The trick is to keep eating regularly, but eating foods with less calories. AND excercise. You must create an excercise lifestyle. Ideally. The holidays were tough on all our healthy lifestyles and our processes, whether physical, mental, or spiritual.
(But don't let American images of beauty rule you, Saadia. Keep poised that beautiful smile of yours, and no one will notice a pound or two out of place--and who's to say they're out of place?)

Actually i just got on the weighing scale this morning and found i had gained a couple of kg's (2 i think, i don't know how many pounds...).
I just can't excersize, no matter how hard i try. It's always like "ok, push ups today, one, two, three, fo....hmmmm, i wonder if that cheese cake is still in the frigde *yum* *rushes to frigde, devour whole cake*", i end up gaining more that way.....

Seriously though, Sid's right, and it's actually a method of eating called 'grazing' (yes like a cow) - eating lots of little meals through out the day instead of just three big ones. Like Sid said, eating keeps your metabolism working as the action of digesting food actually burns callories.
Of course the sad truth is we all KNOW how to lose weight and that's eat healthily and exercise regularly. We just don't wanna do it.

I don't diet, my excuse being that i'm sooo small that if i dieted I would just disappear. and then i couldnt pester alice or any of you guys! myahaha.. BUT eat celery, it is negative calories. apparantly, it takes more calories for you to actually chew it up and digest it than you actually gain in eating it in the first place. pretty cool in a green and stringy way
