OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!! if anyone seriously has the chance, go check out the Summer Sanitarium tour headlined by Metallica (the greatest f'n metal band EVER) and sub-headlined by Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park, and featuring the Deftones and Mudvayne (they suck, but the trio after them are for real man)
there's nothing musically special about Limp Bizkit, but dang do they ever put on a show and fill the crowd with so much energy and frenzy...fred durst is a showman and f'd up in the head fo sure...OMG!!!! he is SOOOO short, and he passed right in front of me
linkin park were actually really good live (a criticism that dogged them)...but the Montreal crowd (50 000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) totally loved them
and then...man did the crowd go crazy when "Ecstasy of Gold" hit the speakers and then Metallica came out and started it off with Battery...right until they ended with Enter Sandman...and we actually made it to the front of the crowd where for a few songs i was squashed :evil: , but totally worth it to see Kirk doing a solo just ten yards away :P
the show can't be described enough in words or done justice (hehe, pun intended) without experiencing it live...it was an open air concert, which Montreal was one of few cities to fortunately have, but u can tell the band totally loved this city and the crazy, f'd up fans we are :twisted:
total electricity all night long...although my neck did hurt for a few days afterwards...it was so awesome that me and this guy from work are still raving about it one week later, everyday we had something to say
