The Amulet of Futs-Lung.
“The Futs-Lung are Chinese underworld dragons which guard buried treasures, both natural and man-made. Volcanoes are said to be created when they burst out of the ground to report to heaven."
The amulet of Futs-Lung was created in the early 0400’s by a great mage; it is forged out of gold and is said to contain the spirits of 5 Futs-Lung dragons. Inscribed on the amulet is a 5 pointed star, at the tip of each star there is a symbol representing one of the following:
To see
To Heal
To hide
To protect
To fight
There is also a symbol in the centre of the amulet.
The amulet was presented to the 1st shaolin master as a gift. Legend has it that the shaolin master, and 5 other monks, used the amulet in a battle against the greatest demon ever known. A record of the battle, the demon involved and the full extent of the amulets powers was recorded on 6 stone tablets. Each monk took a tablet with them and travelled to a far part of the world, except for the shaolin master who was buried with his tablet in Beijing.
After the death of the shaolin master the amulet was kept closely guarded in the temple until Jeet’s death, when it was buried with him. Jeet knows of the amulet from pictures and vague texts and he is aware of the legend surrounding it. Although he knows of the tablets he does not know their
whereabouts. Having never seen the tablets Jeet is unaware of the amulets power and how to use it.
Only the holder of a tablet can fully comprehend the amulets power.
