Bakarra is another unremarkable earth like planet revolving round a yellow star. It has no moon and the rest of the system contains a couple of rock-balls two gas giants and assorted sundry comets and other planetoids.
The Bakarrans themselves are a tall slender blue black skinned race conforming to the basic humanoid pattern. The genetic similarities amongst the Bakarrans is however particularly extreme. This is as a result of the Meta war that was fought some two thousand years in their past. The Meta war was an act of racial genocide that resulted in the extermination of fully 30% of their population and sterilisation of a further 50%. The result of this quest for racial purity was the complete destruction of the Bakarran potential to ever develop Meta abilities at any time in the future
Bakarran society is paranoid and xenophobic. Its reaction to other species is inherently genocidal. It is not however an entirely bleak society. There is art and culture and a strong scientific tradition indeed Bakarra is unique in the area of the Galaxy known to the Concordat as the only species to gain interstellar ability with out the aid of metas.
In the thousand years since the Bakarrans have had FTL space travel they have created an empire of over a hundred colonies over half of which have their foundations in the charred remains of species the Bakarrans have wiped out.
