Has anyone else seen the previews for the new Catwoman movie? And if so, does anyone else think it looks like the worst movie based on a comic book character ever?
Given, Catwoman the movie only uses the name of Catwoman; it does not use Selina Kyle, Gotham City or Batman. This should annoy comic fans (like me) enough. This would be okay, however, if the movie was a good one, but it just looks so bad. One of the scenes I saw was Halle trying to get her hands on some cat-nip, and hissing at a dog. Really, it's just sad.
Comments anyone, on this no doubt disasterous movie?

Catwoman: the movie
I am willing to keep an open mind. Although the costume alone would be enough to condemn it. Frankly I am not sure what Halle Berry is thinking about some of the parts she has taken.
She has wound up nude, underdressed, beaten, or raped in nearly every film (with the possible exception of X-Men/X-Men 2) she's been in for the last 5 years. Get a real self-image girl. You are better than that. Don't go for the spash without a clean dive. The best roles are the ones where you shine becasue you are a wonderful actress not a sex symbol.
That observation notwithstanding, it looks like it might be a waste of money. Too bad becasue it seems to float an interesting prospect. The idea of the 'universal' catwoman rather than the unique catwoman. The idea that under the right circumstances and conditions, a 'catwoman' will be created and that there are many of these woman all over the world.
Intersting idea. Ah well, good ideas about in bad movies I suppose.

With that being said, I haven't seen much to make a judgement beyond this: based of the trailer, it looks like a T&A movie. That's not enough to condemn a movie for me outright, but it does mean that odds are it's not the kind of thing you'll want to watch again and again, or go into expecting a wonderfull plot.
Having said all of that, my girlfriend wants to see it. Which means that odds are, I'll end up seeing it as well.
