So i saw the new Batman movie last night. All I can say is its alot better than all the others. Its MUCH darker (not that weird neo 80's glow stick, florescent garbage of the past 2 Batmans). The story is good, for a superhero movie the one-liners arent that bad...I really recommend it!
Slash, if anyone goes to see it, tell me ifyou think Scarecrow (without his masks) looks like he could be the brother of Tom Welling (Actor who plays Darian).. They like exactly the same!!!

There's some resemblance, I'll grant you, but they certainly don't look exactly the same by any stretch. I managed to find pics with them in similar poses to illustrate. Mind you, in a dark alley it would be easy to confuse them with each other.

I have to admit that I haven't read Batman: Year One (waits for the comics geeks to throw stones), but Dave tells me that the movie covered most of the essential parts. While it wasn't nearly as Frank Millerish as Sin City it was nicely dark and moody.
About a third of the way into the movie I was prompted to comment to Dave, "Who isn't in this movie?" There are lots of familiar faces, and not just the ones who look kinda like other actors, either. :wink:
BTW, Shaun, I think you just have a Tom Welling fixation.

In a word: Damn good. Okay, thats too words, but it was too cool for only one word to describe :P Definately the best Batman film yet (Tim Burton's coming a close, close second and Forever in at third :)) Batman has always been my fav superhero, and I absaloutely loved this portrayl of him (and btw...Batman could take Spiderman any day of the week ;))
